About HTYFC

Since being established in 1998 we have grown to become one of the largest youth football clubs in Hertfordshire. We have over 400 members and 40 teams and have achieved FA Charter Standard. Our primary focus is based upon player development and enjoyment. We are proud of the quality and standards of our coaching. We have over 35 FA qualified coaches and in addition two FA qualified goalkeeper coaches as well as a UEFA Level 3 and FA Youth Module 3 qualified coaches. All of our coaches have completed an Enhanced CRB / DBS check.

We are based in the heart of Hertford with our Campus being based at County Hall and a short 3 minute walk away at West Street Playing Fields. The majority of our players are from Hertford. However our reputation attracts players from 25 different primary schools, 22 secondary schools and 4 further education colleges from across Hertfordshire and Essex including players who live in St Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Knebworth, Hoddesdon, Bishops Stortford and Harlow.

All our home pitches are all located in central Hertford at Simon Balle School, Hertfordshire County Hall, Kingsmeads. Our training facilities are located at Haileybury, Simon Balle and Wodson Park and Hartham 3G.

Players can join our Saturday or Sunday Development Squads from the age of 4 and progress all the way through to U18 and beyond with the Hertford U21 Saturday FC and U21 Sunday FC senior mens football or our Hertford Town Ladies FC. A number of players are selected to join Academies and Development Centres.

Our Development Squad Coaches provides coaching classes in local Hertford primary schools and school holiday soccer courses.

Birthday Parties are available to members on match days or at County Hall.

We are an active member of the local community and over 150 families take part in our Annual Fun Day. We were also delighted to have been presented with the award for ‘Best Youth Float’ in the 2012 Hertford Carnival by Hertford MP Mark Prisk.
